Abstract [eng] The aim of the master thesis – to reveal how the motivation of students depends on successful organization of study process in Siauliai college, and how it would be possible to improve studies by ensuring the development of occupational motivation as well. The material of scientific works, documents and researches were analyzed and it was referred to scientific literature about different learning motivation and motivation aspects while seeking to research what conditions of study environment should be created in higher school, in order each student, who is seeking for effective studies, was motivated for such activity. Theoretical part of this Final Master’s thesis reveals that occupational competence of higher school graduates depends on personal characteristics of the student and study motivation system being executed by the higher school. In order to justify the theoretical analysis of the subject of this work, in practical part of this work quantitative research had been performed – the survey of students and employees of Siauliai College, and it was sought to find out what means of motivation are applied in Siauliai College, what motivation factors are the most important for the students who study there, what type of motivation they would like. Practical part presents the research methodology, characteristics of research sample, instrumentation. Data analysis and research results are illustrated by tables and figures. The evaluation analysis of satisfaction with study conditions in College had shown that expression of terms of study environment is sufficient and it enables us to state that learning conditions being created in Siauliai College meet the requirements for ensuring the quality of studies, i.e., the hypothesis formed for the research proved out – motivation environment model, justified in theoretical part, is operating in Siauliai College. Considering the received research results, the following preconditions have been formed: to organize the studies at Siauliai College in better way, to strengthen learning motivation, to improve the quality of studies.
