The aim of this study – to reveal the theoretical aspects of green procurement, implementation practices of the Lithuanian state institutions and to identify problems. In this work we are revealing green procurement concept in the enviroment context. So we analyzed green procurement practices, economic development and enviromental challenges, green procurement in the global space and the legal framework of green procurement in European Union and Lithuania. After the careful preparation of research methodology and analysis of the green procurement implementation in Lithuanian public institutions, we revealed the organization of green procurement practices and identified problems. The hypothesis was confirmed: Lithuanian state institutions are confronted with different problems in carrying out of green procurement. |
