The Master‘s work contains the review of the significance of postal services and the benefit provided by its reform. The analysis of the material from conferences abroad was performed and the European Commission public consultation researches were analyzed and systemized in this work. The examples of the liberalization process in the EU, New Zealand, Sweden, Austria and the USA are presented, as well as the experience and the problems undergone after opening of the market in Europe are reviewed and discussed. The analysis of regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania which have impact on the management of the postal sector is performed, as well as the review of postal directives which influence the management of the postal sector is provided. The activities of AB Lietuvos paštas are characterized, the provisions of the reform of the postal sector are defined and the analysis of the infrastructure and financial indicators is performed in this work. The problems in the management of the activities of AB Lietuvos paštas are presented. The problems in the management of the activities of the company are comprehensively analyzed. The research on AB Lietuvos paštas postal reform implementation changes from the viewpoint of the personnel is performed. The author’s research hypothesis, that the implemented reform of the postal sector has direct influence on the efficiency of the company’s activities, has been confirmed. |
