Abstract [eng] The topic discussed in the final master thesis is “Problems related to the organisation of building and repair work in educational and scientific institutions”. The current thesis analyses the problems related to the organisation of building and repair work in Šiauliai College in order to establish their type and origin. Since building, much better than other business fields, reveals economic potential of the country and is one among the most important branches of the national economy. The current thesis comprises an introduction, three chapters, proposals, conclusions, list of references and appendices. The thesis includes theoretical and practical chapters. Aspects of the organisation and work organisation are introduced in the theoretical chapter. In addition to that, the theoretical chapter describes essence of the organisation, culture of its management and organisation, theoretical aspects along with the organisation of building and repair work. Practical chapter analyses the problems related to the organisation of building and repair work in Šiauliai College, when using an interview method and comparing building and repair reports and observations from years 2006, 2007 and 2008. In order to conduct the research, a questionnaire was used comprising 6 questions. The research of the problems related to the organisation of building and repair work has been completed with regard to 6 buildings of Šiauliai College. The following buildings have been selected: • Central Building, Aušros al. 40; • Faculty of Business and Technologies, Building No. 2, Vilniaus St. 137; • Health Faculty, M.K. Čiurlionio St. 16A; • Hostel, M.K. Čiurlionio St. 18; • Hostel, M.K. Čiurlionio St. 20; • Faculty of Business and Technologies, Building No. 1, Tilžės St. 159.
