In the first part of master’s work various Lithuanian and foreign authors’ concepts of credit and credit policy, credit risk components, major commercial banks’ economic competitiveness characteristics and theoretical aspects of their evaluation methods are analyzed and systematized. In the analytical part of the work Lithuanian commercial banks’ economic analysis and the provision of loan providing to individuals is carried out revealing that in Lithuania the leading banks are SEB, Swedbank, DnB NORD, bank followers - Danske, Nordea and bank market niche-filler Snoras, Siauliai bank, Ūkio bank, Medicinos bank and Parex . In the constructive part of the work it is clarified that the key indicators which affect the competitiveness of commercial banks in Lithuania are the interest rate in LTL and the level of individual deposits. A similar trend affects all banks, except for Nordea, i.e. credit facilities to individuals are influenced by the decline of Lithuanian commercial banks interest rate in LTL and the growth of individual deposits. |
