Abstract [eng] The relevance of this topic is related to the motivation problem of music learning. Despite many discussions concerning the improvement of music education, insufficient attention is still given to the motivation in music pedagogy, particularly in terms of non-formal education. Society recently is highly targeted to the values of consumerism and the students' musical interests of the ethnic culture and interculture are directed to the superficial musical expression, which not enriches and not broadens deeper musical experience. It is therefore important to find out what factors influence the students' motivation for learning music, especially in adolescence age when develops the personality orientation, but still lack the psychosocial and spiritual maturity. The methodology of the study is based on humanistic psychology and pedagogy which emphasizes human integrity and entireness idea and highlights the satisfaction of self-expression and self-education needs Object of the study – motivation for music learning. After selecting this object as a subject matter of scientific cognitive activity in this research, we analyzed the related factors. Purpose of the study – to reveal motivation factors for music learning by adolescents in music (art) schools. Tasks related to the different factors affecting the analysis. The analysis has been conducted using a questionnaire. Acquired data have been processed using statistical methods. The first chapter provides an overview of motivation for music learning as a certain system, reveals essential elements of motivation for music learning in adolescent music education. The second chapter discusses the survey methodology and presents and interprets data of empirical research. The research results have disclosed the prevailing internal motives of students of music (art) schools, they are related to satisfying the needs of self-education and self-expression and to emotional experiences, also, the intention to please the teacher and receive his praise. Another important factor is an ambition for achieving good results, which is typical to the period of adolescence, i.e. a desire to get good grades. Analyzing the factors, which influence the motivation in learning music, it was found that the musicianship of the parents or other family members is limited to external considerations only: incentives, gifts and willingness to get good ratings. The study has confirmed the dependence of motivation in music learning by the adolescents in music (art) schools on the number of years of learning music, success in music learning, and music listening experience.
