| Abstract [eng] |
The first part of the master work contains the conception of the banking business, main restrictions to the banking activities as well as evaluation approaches and ratios of the efficiency of their performance. The origin of the capital of the banks registered in Lithuanian ( foreign or Lithuanian capital ) is defined in the second part of the master work together with the comparative research and evaluation of the efficiency of their performance. It has been determined that most profitable among foreign capital banks is SEB, while among Lithuanian capitals banks – Ūkio bankas. The world financial crisis led to slowing pace of growth of the banks’ performance ratios in 2008 and in some cases it led to decrease. The third part disclosed that there is no statistical reliance between the stock capital and the efficiency ratios of the commercial banks in Lithuania; besides, the origin of the commercial banks capital doesn’t influence the efficiency ratios of the banks. |
