Abstract [eng] In the work we have performed theoretical analysis of conception of physical fitness, sport games and mental and physical peculiarities of children with slightly disordered intellect. The following hypothesis has been formulated – skills of volleyball of slightly mentally backward children that are not repeated for a certain period of time deteriorate and this influences physical fitness. The continuous research has been carried out, its aim was to evaluate physical fitness of children with slightly disordered intellect and its changes after the period of two years and find out if skills of volleyball have impact upon physical fitness. Statistical data analysis (descriptive correlation of averages, correlations of x² test, T test, Pearson) has been carried out. 28 pupils with slightly disordered intellect from 2 special schools have participated in the research. Empirical part analyses five features of physical fitness and skills of volleyball from 7 spheres: underhand serve, over serve, forearm pass, overhead pass, downthrow, rebuff, blocking. The results of 2010 are compared with research results of 2008, referential tables of normal intellect pupils and data of other authors.
