The final thesis of master deals with The European Union's Common Agricultural Policy in case of Lithuanian milk production sector. The theoretical part of the work describes institution of European Union, European Union policies, characteristic of Common agricultural policy, their reforms and European Union Common Agricultural Policy in Lithuania. The practical part analyses milk production sector: agriculture situation in Lithuania and European Union, Lithuanian and European Union milk production situation and how the main European Union's Common Agricultural Policy supports milk producers - subsidies and investment support – affecting Lithuanian milk production by farmers sectors and agricultural companies' profits. The main results of the work are the following: found that Lithuanian milk production sector situation has improved after joining the European Union, explored dependency relationship between the investment supports, subsidies and farmers, agricultural corporation (with or without subsidies) have shown that there are no strong links between them and this refuted a research hypothesis which was formulated by the author. |
