Abstract [eng] The analysis of relationship between aggressive behaviour asserting in real life and violence shown on television is made in work. The following hypotheses were formed: • The broadcasts and films watched by juveniles on television stimulate aggressive behaviour. • Juveniles who are minded to breach of decency, differently than those keeping moral norms, more often choose broadcasts in television programmes, where violence is shown. Using the methods of group questionnaire survey, observation, non structural interview the research was performed in three stages. The aim of this research – to investigate the influence of television broadcasts on the aggressive behaviour of teenagers of 11 – 14 years. The statistical (descriptive correlation, averages) and content data analyses were performed. 150 pupils of Siauliai Aukstabalio secondary school and 150 pupils (from Siauliai and Kelme), who are listed in register of children about which police is concerned due to their accomplished delinquent activity, participated in the research. In empiric part the motives of juveniles’ watching of television and choosing programmes are examined, compared whether juveniles who are minded to breach of decency and those keeping moral norms choose the same films and television broadcasts, analyzed how many aggressive behaviour is shown in them, explained what meaning do the children give to the phenomenon of violence in television. The most important conclusions of the empiric research: 1. After performing research it was explored that negative influence of violence in mass media undoubtedly exist. The processes of learning and remembering the mentioned Bandura behaviour models proceed. When the modeling effect abates, violent breaches of legal norms enhance twice. In qualitative research children of risk groups admit that they realize the seen violent scenes improvising while playing. 2. Children of risk groups spent less time by watching television than delinquent children, so they choose only violent broadcasts and do not watch others at all. The quality of broadcast juveniles’ measure by criterion of amount of violence. The long-lasting watching of violent broadcasts stimulates aggression in real life. Teenagers admit that there exists the risk of long-lasting and repeated watching of television. 3. While comparing television broadcasts, according to the amount of the aggression, it needs to state, that the biggest influence on children violence in real life make artistic films, because there are most of violence, they are watched most by the children and teenagers of risk group identify themselves as heroes of artistic films. 4. Both groups of children mostly identify physical and verbal aggression (conveyed by content, not intonation). Pupils do not recognize at all aggression, which is expressed by suspicion, irritability, grievance and jealousy, negativism. In school mostly physical and verbal aggression (menace, nicknaming), is experienced, so they are easily recognized, other forms of aggression also exist, but they are not perceived as forms of aggression among the children.
