The various aspects of the EU Structural Funds absorption in regions of Lithuania analyzed in Master thesis. There was investigated in which areas and regions were the most successful and the worst absorption of funds. There was also analyzed socio-economic development in the Lithuanian regions in 2005-2009 period and impact of absorption of EU Structural Funds for it. The discussion issues of the region, its development and regional policy were examined in this work and the concepts for the Lithuanian upper level government units exclusion was proposed in it. The author formulated the hypothesis was approved partly, because of EU structural support was just one of many factors, which was influencing regional development and the reduction in disparities. |
