Abstract [eng] Reforms of pension system and development of pension system models are of high relevance not only in Lithuania but in other countries as well. Besides social insurance and social support systems there is also one more state pension system which comprises of the first and the second grade state pensions, aggrieved persons state pensions, state pensions for officers and soldiers, scientists and judges in Lithuania. All these pensions are financed from the State’s budget of the Republic of Lithuania. They do not act according to the generation solidarity principle though they are coherent with some social risks and their mission is very specific. Some state pensions are given for special merits to the Republic of Lithuania, sometimes pensions are given to aggrieved persons as some compensation or they may be given for some service or work. There is no definition or obvious criteria according to which these pensions could be given from state pension system there. Talking about dispensation of state pensions and payment conditions it should be noted that the fundamentals and conditions of state pensions dispensation, methodology of calculation differ greatly as well.
