Abstract [eng] Social skills are skills which give the possibility to overcome difficulties and conflicts in life. According to Vosylienė (2009) social skills - it is ability in verbal and nonverbal way to interact with the people round in socially acceptable way. Education of social skills helps to start and keep relationships, in appropriate way to ask for a help, talk about feelings, protect own attitude, to solve conflict situations effectively, to resist negative factors. The research problem and topicality let raise such problematic questions: What social skills are relevant and most needful for children who are brought up in families with social risk? What possibilities to educate these skills using made up program? If the program of educating(self-educating) social skills will help to do it? Object: educating social skills for children who are brought up in social risk families using the program of educating social skills and its influence assessment. Aim – to develop social skills in children who live in social risk families using the program of educating social skills and also to reveal the effect of this program. The goal of survey: 1. By theoretical analysis to reveal micro and macro factors which influence development of social skills for children who live in social risk families. 2. By qualitative method to identify the necessity of social skills for children who live in social risk families and by the survey of practice to materialize the education program of social skills. 3. By content analysis method to reveal the program of educating social skills and its influence assessment. In this work is given theoretical analysis of children who live in social risk families, micro and macro factors which influence the development of social skills. By qualitative method was identified the need of social skills for children who are brought up in social risk families. By the activity research was actualized the program of social skills. Possibilities of educating social skills through the program of educating social skills were revealed by content analysis method. 22 research participants took part in qualitative research. In the program of educating social skills took part 12 children who live in social risk families. All children attend Caritas daily occupation centre. In questioning of qualitative research took part 10 respondents- experts. These people were chosen because they were able to describe the best social skills of children who took part in research. Main conclusions By qualitative method (questioning of experts) was identified the need of some social skills for children who live in social risk families. It is: behaviour in the classroom, communication, understanding of feelings, self- knowledge, self-control and stress negotiation skills. When was identified the topicality of social skills there was the program of social skills applied – activity research. By content analysis method, children and experts’ questioning there were revealed some failings and makings of the program for developing social skills. Such assessment categories of children were identified: “New games learnt, work, occupation and free time activities with friends”, “Developed main social skills: identification of temper and its control, verbal and non-verbal communication, feeling identification and its appropriate expression, gained knowledge about drugs, also knowledge necessary for friendship and skills for self-assessment”, “Positive assessment of program conduction, program conductor and material reward by program participants”, “Subjective critics by participants of the program concerned program participants, activity consideration and lack of activities outside”. Experts confirmed the influence of the program of social skills assessing children’s level repeatedly. The most varied, according the experts, are self-control skills, behaviour in the classroom, communication skills, less improvement - in self-knowledge, understanding feelings and overcoming stress.
