Abstract [eng] In the work theoretical positive parenting and families at social risk socialization analysis is performed. The hypothesis that social risk family members (fathers and mothers) are not interested in active participation in the positive parenting skills building activities is set. Questionnaire survey method was conducted with the aim to reveal the formation of positive parenting opportunities for social risk families. Statistical () data analysis was carried out. The study involved 209 members from disadvantaged families (fathers and mothers). The empirical part analyses the parenting situation in the social risk families, nature of assistance in dealing with child rearing issues, positive parenting skills development opportunities. The main conclusions of the research: 1. The literature revealed that positive parenting is friendly mutual communication between the parents and the children, mutual respect and non-violent conflict resolution, when parents prefer not punishment for bad behaviour, but promotion of proper conduct in the child. 2. Disadvantaged family is the family which due to lack of internal and external resources fails to fully carry out its functions and has status of inferiority. 3. Disadvantaged families often lack parental skills, so they fail to educate their children, do not provide adequate care, do not create physical, emotional, and psychological environment necessary for healthy and harmonious development of the child. 4. For the parents in the disadvantaged families most acceptable are individual positive parenting skills training, organized by social workers. 5. Social risk family members (fathers and mothers) are not interested in active participation in positive parenting skills building activities.
