Abstract [eng] The thesis analyses influence of a process of integration into the labour market in reducing social exclusion among people with addictions in communities of long-term rehabilitation. The hypothesis suggests that the process of integration into the labour market of the people with addictions in communities of long-term rehabilitation is not sufficiently effective at reducing social exclusion. The research was conducted through a questionnaire and a series of interviews aiming to discern the possibilities at integrating the people with addictions into the labour market, and further understanding how these possibilities might help in reducing social exclusion in communities of long-term rehabilitation. A standard statistical-quantitative (using common statistical indicators, such as mode, median, standard deviation, quartiles, frequents, averages, correlations, reliability of the research tools) as well as qualitative analysis of the collected data was applied. 121 persons with addictions from 5 long-term rehabilitation communities have participated in this research. In the process of research 121 closed-type questionnaires were completed and 5 interviews conducted. The research showed that both willingness to work and a motivation in seeking for a particular type of work in people with addictions are affected by a number of closely related factors. It seems that the most important motivation in job seeking is an appeal of a particular work, also career possibilities and good working relationships both with colleagues and a leader/employer. The unemployment among such persons is most commonly conditioned by the lack of professional qualifications and work experience. Despite that many of them do not lack confidence and put enough effort in job seeking. Most of the respondents were registered at their local job centres and were willing to either improve their existing skills or gain new qualifications. They would also agree for a limited period time to work for a minimum wage or even for free, do temporary jobs, be self-employed, even change their place of residence if that would warrant more stability in their employment. However, the respondents also acknowledged their need of help in improving their work skills, help in seeking employment and even some follow up support after their employment.
