Abstract [eng] Theoretical analysis of parental involvement opportunities into the educational process of the children with special needs is performed in the paper.The hypothesis that parents would be more willing to get involved in children's education and to cooperate with the educational institution, but most do not dare to show initiative, waiting for greater encouragement and support from the teachers.Questionnaire survey method was conducted with the aim to investigate the opportunities for involvement of the parents of special needs children into education process. Statistical (descriptive frequencies and using the chi-squared test (χ2) analysis of data was done. The study included 153 parents having children with special needs.
