The hypothetic model of the portal of the Department of Studies at Siauliai University is presented at the Master Degree Work. Services, provided at the Department of Studies, which could be implemented in electronic way, were separated. The aim of the Master Degree Work: to reveal the influence of contemporary information technologies in Lithuanian higher education and to develop the hypothetical model of the portal of the Department of Studies at Siauliai University. The conception of electronic services is analysed in the work, their importance in the higher education is stressed, and the conception of the portal as well as types are defined. The model of the portal, developed after characterisation of activities, objectives and functions of the Department of Studies, ensures immediate and fast dissemination of information, rendering of services to categorised users as well as the reception of data and documents anytime and anywhere. |
