Abstract [eng] Present day volleball characterizes in a large variety of game situations, that is why volleyball players must have a huge reserve of technical actions and have to be able to use them effectively during matches. Since many of volleyball players tend to take different technical actions, the technical training of players become particularly relevant. Mastered technical actions are a solid basis for the main goal of the game – to achieve victory (Stonkus, Zuoza, Jankus, Pacenka, 2002). Object of the research – the change of young volleyball players’ explosive strength and technical qualification of a ball control. Aim of the research – to determine and analyse the change of young volleyball players‘ explosive strenght and technical qualification. Methods of the research: the method of theoretical analysis and generalization, pedagogical observation, statistical analysis. The study was organized and conducted in Kelmės basic „Kražantės“school. The study sample consisted of young (age 17-18) volleyball team players (n = 15). In this thesis theoretical properties of young volleyball players have been analyzed. Experimentally, the explosive strength and ways of technical control of the ball have been examined. The change of young volleyball players explosive strenght and technical qualification has been ascertained. Indicators of the dynamics of volleyball players‘ explosive strenght and the quality of technical control of the ball have been measured.
