| Abstract [eng] |
Social Sciences nowadays are especially focused on intergroup state in the society and problems of interculturality. Social exclusion as a phenomenon in Lithuania is constantly exploited topic of mass communication and television as an instrument of mass communication is responsible for the content of a message sent to audience. Social exclusion is universally recognized as a problem, therefore it is important to understand how the communicating of this problem proceeds in Lithuanian television in the context of cultural competence. The hypothesis of this thesis is that Lithuanian television has a significant lack of cultural competence and in turn this implicates negative (not positive) effect on mass TV audience’s perception of the excluded, the Other. |
