Lithuania Environmental Management System is a relatively new area. Organizations are interested in the establishment of effective environmental management systems, but due to lack of information or lack of access to environmental management standards in the deployment aspects of these systems do not cover all possibilities. Theoretical decisions are based on: Arbačiauskas V., Belz F., Čepinskis J., Kestemont M.-P., Kotyla S., Maier S., Ruževičius J., Staniškis J. K., Šileika A. and other authors memoirs and books. Examined and evaluated the functioning of environmental management systems in enterprises of Siauliai region's performance. Discussed in more detail: the importance of environmental protection, environmental management systems, the nature and importance of the organizations activities, environmental management systems issues, environmental management performance evaluation methods, evaluated the environmental situation awareness and business performance in Siauliai region plants. Conducted a survey to determine the effectiveness of corporate environmental performance, with environmental management certification. The work of the theorising and research results prove that the environmental management system is formally introduced and does not guarantee environmental performance improvements. |
