This master‘s final paper analyzes family friendly work environment in theoretical and practical aspects. According to the Lithuanian and foreign academic literature here are introduced the instruments and models of family-friendly policies, also the two sides effects of using these policies. Moreover, it is discussed the role of state and employers in context of work and family coordination. In order to evaluate the existing family and work life situation and to identify problematic areas two methods were used: document analysis and interviews. The analysis and systemization of national regulations, statistical indicators and studies were made. Respondents of the interview represent public, private and individual levels in order to full-scale the research. The study indentified three problematic areas: the negative attitudes of employers, lack of childcare services and the lack of male involvement in child and home care responsibilities. |
