Abstract [eng] The final Master's thesis consists of 85 pages without appendices, 14 tables, 226 sources. The aim of this MSc thesis was to determine how benefits and privacy factors affect a user's intention to use a smart home assistant. The objectives of this thesis were: to analyse the applicability of intention models to consumer attitudes towards smart home assistants; to investigate the privacy factors of smart home assistants; to investigate how perceived benefits influence consumer intention to use a smart home assistant; to develop a research methodology to investigate the influence of consumer benefits and privacy disclosure factors on consumer intention to use a smart home assistant; and to provide conclusions and recommendations on the results of the study. This thesis consists of a literature review, a methodological part, the study conducted, an analysis of the results and conclusions and recommendations. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the scientific sources on how the benefits and privacy factors can influence the user's intention to use an HIA. The theoretical part identifies the main variables that influence the consumer's perceived benefits and privacy perceptions of a smart home assistant. Using the sources and theories analysed in the theoretical literature and taking into account the aim of the study, the research model and hypotheses were developed, and a quantitative study was conducted - a qualitative survey - an anonymous online questionnaire. The number of responses was 307 out of the 294 required. The follow-up question revealed that 35 respondents answered that they did not have a basic knowledge of a smart home assistant, so these respondents did not participate in the study. All data collected was analysed using IMB SPSS software. The data were tested to determine the validity of the hypotheses. The study found that the age of the respondent had no relationship with the perceived ease of INA, with the perceived risk (fear) of leakage of personal data from the INA database, and with social influence. The study revealed that perceived usefulness of the INA has a positive effect on the user's intention, but is not influenced by the respondent's gender, while the perceived simplicity of the INA has a positive effect on the user's intention to use a smart home assistant, but is not statistically influenced by gender. The conclusions summarise the research carried out in the thesis and provide conclusions and recommendations.
