Abstract [eng] The analysis of change of the rates of physical condition and competition activities of highly skilled basketball players who undergo limitary psychological and physical overloads for a long time has not been carried out yet; however, from the educational point of view, it is a topical issue. Majority of sports scientists draw theoretical assumptions stating that sportsman’s state of mind which is influenced by a big number of indices is a very important and informative rate. By using it, sports coaches could differentiate, individualise loads of training for basketball players as well as their distribution throughout various parts of the training structure (training only, micro-cycle of training, meso-cycle, macro-cycle), to spot the players who are able to successfully take part in competitions. Abilities of basketball player’s play during a match are expressed as a unity of learnt game actions and their combinations integrated into the team game (Stonkus, 2002). Singled out somatic (height, length of outstretched arms, proportion of body mass and height), motor (velocity, dexterity, spring, endurance), psychic (ability to analyse game situations, fight, initiative), preparation, psychic and psychical condition factors predetermine effectiveness of competition activities of basketball players. The research aim: to analyse the peculiarities of change of introspection and competition activities’ rates of basketball players.
