Abstract [eng] Milinavičienė, B. (2024). Evaluation of Factors Influencing the Economic Resilience of Regions: Master's Thesis in Economics. Thesis Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Diana Cibulskienė. Vilnius University, Šiauliai Academy, 65 p. In this master's thesis, factors influencing the economic resilience of Lithuanian regions are examined and analyzed. The aim of the study is to identify indicators of factors determining regional economic resilience from a theoretical perspective, develop a methodology for assessing regional economic resilience, and evaluate the economic resilience of regions using macroeconomic indicators. Additionally, an investigation is conducted into the applicability of the methodology for assessing regional economic resilience, based on the example of Lithuanian regions. The first part of the thesis involves the theoretical assessment of factors influencing regional economic resilience. This includes defining the concept of economic resilience, regional classification, and determining factors and indicators influencing economic resilience in regions. The second part presents the methodology for assessing factors influencing economic resilience, specifically at the level of Lithuanian regions. An empirical model is described, encompassing research factors, indicators, hypotheses, the empirical model, evaluation of the study, analysis, and limitations of the study. The third part involves the empirical assessment of the economic resilience of Lithuanian regions. This includes studying the dynamics and recovery periods of factors influencing the economic resilience of Lithuanian regions, identifying economic resilience, determining the coefficients of the factors influencing resilience, composing resilience indices, summarizing strengths and problematic areas, testing hypotheses, and comparing obtained results with previous scientific studies.
