The aim of the Master’s Thesis is to research the processes and methods of the strategic planning and image formation in Panevezys town, revealing processes interaction perspectives. In order to reveal the theoretical aspects of the interaction, the opinions of Lithuanian and foreign theorists and practicians as well as the examples of good practice have been invoked, and the processes of the strategic planning and image formation in the city have been identified. Researching the opportunities of practical interaction, the author carried out the analysis of the legal framework, regulating the strategic planning and image formation, and conducted the double-sided expert research – the experts directly participating in the process of strategic planning and image formation in Panevezys town were questioned using the method of in-depth interview, and the experts evaluating the processes were questioned using a qualitative questionnaire survey. The empirical research revealed the directions and priorities of strategic planning in Panevezys town and enabled evaluation of the opportunities and measures to improve the interaction. Conclusions about the research results and the tenders for the government, executives of Panevezys town, the specialists of strategic planning, image formation, business, culture, education, professionals of other spheres and the society of the town have been presented in the final part of the work. The research confirmed the hypothesies of the scientific research raised at the beginning of the research. |
