Abstract [eng] The study examines the evaluation of implementation of Lithuanian regional policy. Development and implementation of regional policy is one of the main measures to ensure stable economic development of the country and to reduce disparities among different territories. Regional development of small country such as Lithuania is in fact about national economic development. The major objective of regional development is sustainable creation of jobs, through supporting small and medium sized enterprises, promotion productive investment, improving infrastructure and furthering local development. The thesis consists of three parts: theoretical evaluation, empirical researches methodic, research and its results. In the theoretical evaluation part first analysis question is the concept of region. Then analyze the influence of rationalization on economic development, regional development theories and fundaments of the regional policy. In the theoretical part the principals of Lithuanian regional policy are explained. In the second part, the empirical researches methodic and researches process are explained. In the third part, an empirical research of implementation of Lithuanian regional policy and it’s results are described. To support the main theoretical and practical statements of the thesis and illustrate the outcomes, 15 figures and 10 tables are included. The theoretical – methodological base of the study included 45 references, consisting of Lithuanian, English and Russian literature and electronic data bases.
