Development of the tourism sector can be one of more significant sources of income for the small Lithuanian state, influencing upon economic development of separate regions and the overall country. On the grounds of prognostication methods, the paper analyses a change and prospective perspectives of the economic indices of incoming and local tourism products demand. In the conceptual part of the paper, the factors analysed in scientific literature, which influence upon the economy of the country directly or indirectly, are discussed and valuated, a conception of economic analysis and a methodology of evaluation of the development possibilities are provided. In the analytical-investigative part, the dynamics of change of tourism economic indices is analysed explicitly, the structure of the income receivable in the tourism sector and its distribution among separate regions of the country are evaluated. The influence of seasonality upon the tourism services and sale of the products was also evaluated, the factors, which determined economic results of tourism companies, were summarized and the correlation-regression analysis of dependence of the income received from the sale of tourism services and products upon the determining factors was performed. The author of the paper has prepared two articles on that topic for the reviewed publication of scientific articles “Mokslas ir edukaciniai procesai” (“Science and Educational Processes”). |
