Abstract [eng] The Master’s thesis presents the analysis and systematization of scientific and administrative literature of Lithuanian and foreign authors; overviews the ways of rendering special pedagogical assistance for children having special educational needs at the institutions referred; reveals the today’s situation of speech therapists’ cooperation at the establishments indicated; gives the point of view on organizing the very work of speech therapy; introduces to the attitude of speech therapists of pre-school and primary educational institutions towards cooperation and team work; contains the detailed analysis of the peculiarities of organizing speech therapists’ cooperation. The hypothesis, that had been formulated while conducting the research, has been proved partially: it is likely that speech therapists at pre-school and primary educational establishments appreciate each other and seek for cooperation while satisfying special educational needs of a child. The cooperation of speech therapists is mostly motivated by the very process of education, the possibility to improve their knowledge and abilities, and striving for personal goals. It has emerged, that speech therapists rather frequently communicate with speech therapists of other institutions and institutions of their own: one of the more common ways of information interchange at primary institutions is conversations during breaks, while at pre-school ones is individual communication in the consulting room. Having given a glance at the current situation of pre-school and primary educational establishments, it has come out that the majority of speech therapists working at such establishments possess an adequate perception of cooperation as capacity to seek for common results and sharing of both work-related information and responsibility for actions being performed.
