| Abstract [eng] |
This Master‘s thesis analyses the institute of removing members of the municipal council and mayors from office, which is referred to in the thesis as quasi-impeachment. The aim of the Master’s thesis is to find out whether quasi-impeachment proceedings are aimed at safeguarding the public interest. The Master’s thesis seeks to identify the substantive, procedural and process requirements for the implementation of quasi-impeachment proceedings and to clarify what constitutes the public interest in quasi-impeachment proceedings. The Master’s thesis compares the constitutional institute of impeachment with the institute of quasi-impeachment, as well as looks at the practice of foreign countries with regard to the removal of members of municipal councils and mayors from office. |
