Abstract [eng] All types of forced labour are prohibited at the international level, and exploitation for forced labour or services is recognized as a serious crime against the European Union carries out an intensive and priority fight. In the case of exploitation for forced labour, a person is forced to perform a certain work or services, including begging. According to the Lithuanian criminal law, such a crime is recognized as a separate independent criminal act, it is dissociated from human trafficking and other criminal acts according to objective and subjective characteristics. Considering the fact that exploitation for forced labour or services is a new area of legislation, both the legislator and the judicial practice are faced with problematic aspects in defining this criminal act and providing criminal liability for it. This crime violates a legal value - a person's freedom to choose whether to work or what services to provide, including begging. The master thesis presents the concept of exploitation for forced labour according to international and Lithuania legal acts, analyzes elements of this criminal act, established in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. Considering the fact that exploitation for forced labour or services is a new area of legislation, both the legislator and the judicial practice are faced with problematic aspects in defining this criminal act and providing criminal liability for it. Therefore, this work aims to reveal in as much detail as possible the basis and limits of criminal liability for exploitation for forced labour or services in Lithuania, compare to the corresponding criminal acts prohibited by foreign countries, also to review the recommendations of the European Union institutions for Lithuania on this issue. In order to avoid qualification mistakes, exploitation for forced labour is separated from other criminal acts and other violations of the law.
