Abstract [eng] The main aim of this work is to present the importance of the vocational guidance at school. Eespecially it is important to help learners to find their way in complex educational systems and in rapidly changing labor market. In the event of the new vocational information, advice and guidance service conditions and possibilities it is necessary to study the real information from direct services addressors. It is interesting to know the availability of such services, their characteristics and problems. The object of investigation - Problems and opportunities of Career Information at school. The main purpose of this work – to estimate the challenges and opportunities of vocational guidance at school. The methods of research: analysis of literature and education documents, questionnaire, analysis of statistics. Statistical data processing was carried out in SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences-Windows Release 17.0). Descriptive statistics was used for Statistical data analysis, . Mann – Whitey U, Chi - Square, Kendalo tau-c criteria. A survey of the work: during the survey work 311 students from three Gymnasiums, 38 Gymnasiusms‘ teachers and 7 workers from Career Information Centres were questionared. Conclusions. Students and teachers‘ views are very different in terms of four types of information: further education and training opportunities, participation in tertiary and vocational education institutions and procedure requirements, occupation requirements, and work situation and its needs. In all these cases, teachers are inclined to believe that there is no lack in information, and students – vice versa; Students and teachers opinion about raising events, with the exception of meetings with professional and high school students and vocational and higher education representatives, are informative and interesting for students. Teachers in all cases are likely to think that all meetings are very useful for students, while most students are often inclined to question the usefulness of this; The vast majority of students to institutions that provide vocational information, advice and guidance services in addition not apply; Most of students and teachers the reference “AIKOS“ do not use; Teachers and students views on vocational guidance classes in Gymnasiums existence disagreed: teachers affirmed that all Gymnasiums operate vocational guidance classes, but a part of the students indicated that such classes or points not exist at all; A small number of students consults with professional guidance.
