Idem: The aim of research work: to review causes of adolescents psychosomatic back pain. Question of the work : What are the causes of adolescence psychosomatic back pain? Tasks of work: 1. To analyze psychosomatic pain and its causes on the basis of selected scientific articles. 2. To analyze psychosomatic pain relevance and frequency on the basis of selected scientific articles. 3. To analyze the causes of psychosomatic back pain in adolescents on the basis of selected scientific articles. 4. To analyze diseases and conditions that can cause and maintain psychosomatic back pain in adolescents on the basis of selected scientific articles. Materials and methods: Researches were searched in the following data bases: Pubmed, Web of science Key words: Adolescents, psychosomatics, back pain, Literature sources inclusion criteria: Scientific research in which the subjects are teenagers aged 10-18 who complain of back pain.; Scientific research evaluating psychosomatics, somatization, psychosomatic back pain in adolescents.; Full, freely available scientific articles. ; Scientific articles published from 2004 to 2023.; Scientific articles, Lithuanian, English.; Any country in the world.; Full-text scientific articles. Literature sources exclusion criteria: Master theses; Incomplete clinical trials; Single case clinical studies.; Clinical research protocols. Expert opinion.; Systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses Strategy of research The systematic literature review is written in compliance with PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses) requirements for preparing a systematic literature review. The search for scientific articles in the databases PubMed and Medline was performed by one researcher according to the search strategy adapted to each database. The PICO method was used to search for scientific publications. Search word combinations were made using the conjunctions "OR" for synonyms and "AND" for multiple groups of values. The search string consisted of: (psychosomatics) AND (adolescence) AND (back pain)) A total of 3202 articles were found in Pubmed/Web of science databases. After excluding articles that were completely unrelated, 11 articles were included in the systematic literature review. Evaluated outcomes: Emotional and psychological factors; Family and social environment; Changes in body image; Health problems; Stress. Conclusions: Thus, the causes of psychosomatic back pain in adolescents can be complex and multifaceted. [18] [19] Family and social environment also have a very strong influence: Family and social environment play an important role in the well-being of an adolescent.[20] Body image issues are also linked to psychosomatic back pain. [21] Impact of disease: Marfan syndrome can cause early degenerative disorders, such as early osteochondrosis or scoliosis, which cause psychosomatic symptoms. [17] The review investigated that psychosomatic back pain in adolescents is usually caused by mental disorders, emotional and behavioral problems, as well as difficulties at school, in the family and with peers. |
