In this work, "Environmentally stable femtosecond fiber laser generating 3W average optical power and sub-60fs pulse duration", experimental studies were carried out in order to create a practical femtosecond fiber optic source suitable for biophotonics applications and utilizing the advantages of ultrashort pulse generator and ytterbium doped fiber optic amplifiers. After designing and characterizing the scheme, high quality spectrally limited and very short duration high energy femtosecond pulses were obtained, the sensitivity of which is not high and it is possible to realize a practically working femtosecond laser. Prototype of the laser was produced and optically characterize. Also, long-term performance tests were successfully carried out. Accelerated aging tests (on/off, vibration, thermal cycling) were also performed, which were also successful and showed that the prototype was suitable for commercialization. To summarize a practical environmentally stable high peak power femtosecond pulse fiber laser suitable for multiphoton microscopy and other applications was created. |
