The Wildlife-Vehicle collisions, including wild boars, remains a serious problem, as not only the vehicles could be damaged, but the driver with passengers and the animal’s lives could be lost. The goal of this study was to evaluate the environmental factor influence to these collisions. To achieve this goal, data from Lithuanian police, Lithuanian automobile road direction and other government institutions was used. For data analysis, Microsoft Excel 365 was used. Based on study results, environmental factors that had influence on wild boar and vehicle collisions was season – usually, the collisions occurred during the autumn season, especially November, time of the day – most collisions occurred during 21 and 22 hour (9 and 10 PM), the least influential of the environment factors was the moon phase, with amount not reaching 30 % of all collisions. |
