Abstract [eng] The main purpose of this master thesis was to evaluate the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on effectiveness of parcel delivery companies operating in Lithuania. The paper discussed the five main points: the concept of operational effectiveness, the types of operational effectiveness, the main factors determining intentions to use the services of parcel delivery sector during Covid-19 pandemic, the methodology of evaluation the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on effectiveness of parcel delivery sector companies and determination of pandemic impact on effectiveness of parcel delivery sector companies operating in Lithuania, the results were compared with pre-pandemic results and applied in the forecasting process. Literature analysis reviewed the difference between different concepts: efficiency, efficacy, and effectiveness. The main types of operational effectiveness were introduced: production process effectiveness, profit effectiveness, costs effectiveness and key performance indicators. It is becoming clear that main factors determining the intensions of using the services of parcel delivery sector are customer expectations, health, delivery price and delivery time. After the analysis the author has carried out the study and determined the main factors influencing the profit and cost effectiveness during the Covid-19 pandemic. The connection between dependent and independent variables was found by using correlational analysis, the causality has been established using regression analysis and results have been applied in logistics analysis to obtain the predictions. The results of performed research have showed that independent variables have stronger connection with dependent variables during the pandemic comparing with the results of pre-pandemic. It means that during the pandemic, the profit was more effective, and costs were more ineffective. The results of logistics analysis have showed that there is 77% possibility that parcel delivery sector will be ineffective in operational profit and 62% possibility to be effective in costs. The recommendations are mostly focused on ways to get more accurate results, however it was noticed that there are the lack of similar researches, therefore future research area should be oriented on parcel delivery sector companies business area, strategical management, human resources.
