Abstract [eng] |
In this work the author deals with relationship between Arvydas Šliogeris' philosophy and tradition of the ancient Greek thought. It is argued that the exploration of photosophic and philotopic domains in Šliogeris' conception of experience can be seen as an original attempt to transform and reactualize the metaphysical thinking of the Greeks in the context of contemporary philosophy. While the direct connection between experience and metaphysics has been regarded as controversial in Western philosophical tradition, the paper seeks to reveal that in Šliogeris' perspective, their relationship is found articulating the core of metaphysics as a binary structure that marks the boundaries between the human and non-human reality. It is maintained that Šliogeris' relationship with Greek metaphysics manifests as the unity of photosophical and philotopical realms of experience, wherein a synthesis of the conception of the nature of philosophy and ontology is found. The concept of Šliogeris' experience is examined methodically through three main steps. At first, the author attempts to locate Šliogeris' key premises within the contemporary debates of continental philosophy on metaphysics. Afterwards, the relationship between Šliogeris' conception of experience and Greek metaphysics is examined, highlighting the core transformations in the understanding of philosophy's nature, then finally moving further on ontological assumptions within it. |
