Abstract [eng] |
Summary The topic of this master thesis is Karl Jaspers: nihilism and religion. While investigating the works of F. Nietzsche, Karl Jaspers came across the concept of nihilism. For Karl Jaspers the topic of nihilism is relevant in that it provides an explanation for states in practical activities, which he calls borderline situations. Karl Jaspers saw the experience of nihilism as an opportunity where the meaning of human existence revealed. In modern psychological science, the concept of borderline situations is closest to the concept of psychological crisis. The science of psychology has always looked for ways to help people cope with the difficulties that have arisen. Karl Jaspers, seeing the limitations of such possibilities, proposed a religious component in order to deal with the state caused by borderline situations. The master thesis analyses the concept of nihilism, the interaction between borderline situations and religious component. Since Karl Jaspers was a proponent of Christian existentialism, the involved religious component analyzed from a Christian perspective. |
