The application of business process modeling to increase the efficiency of the company's activities is analyzed in the master's thesis. The relevance of the theme – continuity and competitiveness of company‘s activities in the context of business process management. Business process modeling allows companies to improve the efficiency of business processes, identify the best practices for business processes and implement standardization, helps managers and executives ensure that business processes are consistent, and enable business execution toward achieving the overall strategy and goals of the organization. Modeling real business processes and succeeding, it is necessary to choose the right and effective architecture of business process modelling. The business process model needs to be flexible, changing from the business environment, so it needs to be constantly reviewed and updated. Business process modelling is a method for improving organization efficiency and quality. The purpose of a thesis - to examine the possibilities of applying business process modeling to increase the efficiency of enterprises. Scientific literature is used to achieve the goal of the master‘s thesis. Based on scientific sources, the concept of company efficiency and evaluation methods are analyzed. The work also deals with the concepts of business process and business process modeling. The combination of qualitative (interview) and quantitative (questionnaire survey) research methods helps to reveal the possibilities of applying business process modeling to increase the efficiency of companies. Work tasks: to analyze the theoretical aspects of the application of business process modeling to increase the efficiency of the company; to study the benefits of business process modeling and its application in Lithuanian companies; to study the problems and possibilities of application of business process modeling, based on the expert point of view. Working methods: analysis of scientific literature, study of the adequacy of the developed model by means of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Tasks of the research: to determine the impact of business process modeling on the company's business processes; to study the benefits of business process modeling, based on the expert point of view; formulation of hypothesis in research. The important result of the work: Hypothesis (H1) is confirmed, integration of business process modeling software tools operational results (improving company performance with MagicDraw and Oracle E-Business Suite). Hypothesis (H2) is confirmed, the implementation of business process modeling tools has a positive impact on the company's performance. |
