Abstract [eng] 73 pages, 10 charts, 18 pictures, 67 references. The main objective of this Master's thesis is to assess the impact of the IT project team microclimate on the success of projects. The thesis consists of four main parts: analysis of the literature, research methodology, analysis of the research results, conclusions and recommendations. The literature review analyses the literature and articles written by Lithuanian and foreign researchers, delves into the concept of organisational microclimate, examines the specifics of IT project teams' microclimate and the factors determining the microclimate, describes the methodologies for determining the microclimate of IT project teams and the methods for evaluating the success of IT project teams' projects. After the literature review, author has carried out the study about the about the impact of the microclimate in real IT project teams on the success of the teams' projects. The questionnaire survey was completed by XX Lithuanian and foreign IT organisations operating on a project basis. 204 persons volunteered to respond to the survey. The author conducted a correlation analysis and found that, according to the study, there is a strong correlation (0.71 by Pearson) between the IT project team microclimate and the success of the IT project team. It was also observed that individuals with more positive microclimate factors were in most cases more successful in their projects (had a higher success rating). The conclusions and recommendations summarise the main findings of the literature review and the study. The author believes that the results of the study could provide useful insights for IT organisations, encouraging them to investigate and pay more attention to the microclimate of their teams, which can improve the success rating of their projects.
