Abstract [eng] Suicide is an important public health issue in Lithuania. Bereavement by suicide can be complex experience marked by grieving process and post-traumatic reactions. Research focused on exploring continuing bonds through spiritual experiences of individuals bereaved by suicide don‘t take into account the relationship of the deceased. The aim of this study is to reveal the continuing bonds through spiritual experiences of women bereaved by suicide of husband or partner. Sample consisted of 11 women, age ranged from 28 to 62 years. Participants attended semi-structured interviews. Results were analysed by inductive thematic analysis according to Braun and Clarke (2006; 2013). Based on the analysis of the results 5 themes were identified: „Emotional bonds with the deceased continue“, „Continuing bonds through memory of the deceased“, „Continuing bonds through beliefs about afterlife“, „Continuing bonds through spiritual experiences“, „Absence of continuing bonds“. This study broadens the understanding of continuing bonds through spiritual experiences of women bereaved by suicide of husband or partner. This study reveals positive and negative sides of these experiences. The results of this study may help to provide appropriate psychological and spiritual help for individuals bereaved by suicide.
