Abstract [eng] A large number of divorces are recorded every year. Since 2020, mediation in family disputes is mandaroty in Lithuania. It is important to study the psychological processes of the mediation and improve the execution of mediation. Perceived justice of mediators’ behavior is related to external factors, such as mediators’ behavior during mediation, and internal factors: emotion regulation and mediation parties’ personal experience. In order to find out perceived justice of mediators’ behavior according to mediation parties’ experience, a study was conducted. 60 mediation parties participated in this study. The results revealed that perceived justice of mediators’ behavior is quite high and related to satisfaction with mediation procedure and outcome. Satisfaction with the procedure is related to initiator status. Also, results show that emotion regulation strategies positively predict perceived justice of mediators’ behavior. No other significant connections were identified. Future research should investigate mediation parties’ target group and factors of perceived justice of mediators’ behavior in the context of divorce.
