Teachers in pre-primary education play a critical role in their pupils’ education and accomplishment, and job satisfaction has a direct impact on the efficiency and quality of their instruction. Deteriorating working conditions, administrative work, the prevailing atmosphere, and burnout syndrome all negatively affect the job satisfaction of pre-school teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to find out what factors influence the job satisfaction of Šiauliai nursery-kindergarten N employees? What is the level of job satisfaction of pre-school teachers? Aim of the study: to analyze the job satisfaction of Šiauliai nursery-kindergarten teacher and the influence of factors on job satisfaction. Objectives: 1. Based on scientific literature, examine the concept, importance, and factors of employee work satisfaction. 2. To analyze theories of job satisfaction. 3. To evaluate the job satisfaction of pre-school teachers in Šiauliai kindergarten. 4. To identify the factors influencing the job satisfaction of pre-school teachers in Šiauliai nursery-kindergarten. Research methodology: The chosen theory of job satisfaction - F. Herzberg is a two-factor theory. F. Herzberg chose a two-factor theory to explain job satisfaction. The research is based on F. Herzberg's theory that a person's attitude toward work is influenced by a variety of factors. Job satisfaction is determined by two types of factors, according to F. Herzberg: internal and external factors. Also used was the P. E. Spector Job Satisfaction Questionnaire. Methods: analysis of scientific literature, questionnaire, structured interview, graphic analysis performed using MS EXCEL software. Results: The general level of job satisfaction of pre-school teachers in Šiauliai nursery-kindergarten is average. The greatest dissatisfaction is expressed in the organization of work. Identified factors influencing job satisfaction - wages, prevailing atmosphere, working conditions, recognition and evaluation, age, opportunity to realize one's abilities. |
