| Abstract [eng] |
This paper examines the role of city diplomacy in climate change action, based on an analysis of the New York case. A review of the literature on paradiplomacy and city diplomacy is conducted, noting that cities are becoming increasingly important from an economic, political, environmental, and societal perspective. An analysis of the case of New York City is conducted after analyzing the importance of international agreements and city networks in climate change policy. Finally, it can be concluded that climate change is a problem that cannot be solved without cities, and that the diplomatic role of cities has grown. |
