The public spaces of urban areas are an important part of the urban recreational construct that is inseparable from green spaces.Allergenic plants are a new challenge for landscaping managers, as pollen from anemophilous plants can cause allergic reactions, respiratory problems, or other respiratory-related health problems in individuals who are sensitive to pollen allergens.In this work, the dispersion of anemophilous plants pollen in the greenery of Raseiniai is evaluated and recommendations to reduce the pollen load are proposed. To achieve this goal, the concentration of airborne pollen in representative urban areas was measured in pollen samples collected with the “Coriolis µ” cyclone air trap. Sample collection, microscopic identification, and data processing were performed using the method of Carvalho et al. (2008). |
