The paper attempts to explore influence of corporate and financial communication on shareholder behavior as well as to identify what are communication needs of the investing public and how their reactions vary depending on the information provided by companies. Four large Lithuanian companies – Alytaus tekstile, Snaige, Sanitas and Mazeikiu nafta – listed on Vilnius stock exchange where chosen for the research. The companies were selected based on their communication activities, business The scope of the study is to track all price sensitive and non-price sensitive information about the companies that appeared in major mass media channels in the course of one year and link it to fluctuations in share value of the above-mentioned companies in the stock exchange. The methods employed in the research comprise qualitative and quantitative analysis of information. |
