This master thesis analyses lobbying activities in Lithuania, as well as reviewing the trends of these activities in the European Union. This is the main object of the master's thesis. The master's thesis also aims to reveal the benefits of lobbying to society, positive aspects, as it is noted that there is scepticism among subjects about issues related to lobbying, insufficient information is provided, activities are undeservedly compared with criminal acts. Specific objectives and objectives are formulated, which are aimed at revealing the concept of lobbying activities and its main features. When examining the chosen master's theme, it is important to separate from the negative phenomena associated with it, therefore, concrete examples and differences are presented in the work. The components of lobbying are presented in their analysis. The master‘s thesis also analyses lobbying activities in the European Union, refines trends, presents specific countries that show how lobbying can be regulated, and discusses recommendations from the Organisation for European Cooperation and Development. The development of the Lobbying Act is briefly discussed. The legal regulation of lobbying activities in Lithuania is deepened, an analysis has been carried out as to why the existing Law on Lobbying activities is not effective, problems are highlighted. The analysis of scientific sources allows to draw certain conclusions and provide possible ways to solve the efficiency deficiencies contained in the Lobbying Act. As the Covid-19 pandemic is raging around the world, an overview of how this may have affected lobbying activities in the European Union and Lithuania. |
