The master's thesis analyzes the topic of GDPR and labor law, in which international legal instruments, the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union are relevant. At the same time, the answer to this topic in Lithuania can be found in laws and other by-laws. In the context of this topic, the State Data Protection Inspectorate plays an important role in providing many guidelines, recommendations, projects and trainings / conferences. The work analyzes the beginning of the personal data path from the sending of the candidate's CV to the potential employer in relation to the GDPR principles, cases of the candidate's consent to the processing of personal data. The detailed topic of the work clearly distinguishes the topics that reflect the real situation that is most often encountered in the course of the employment relationship in terms of personal data. It can be concluded that in this world full of personal data, there is a need to educate, train employees to protect the right to privacy, and for employers to develop strategies and knowledge on how to create a legitimate and proportionate system for data collection and monitoring without violating data subjects' rights. |
