Summary Fmily mediation comparing with others Europe Union countries is quite young institute. This area are sparsely examined both theoretically and empirically. The purpose of this study is to analyze family mediation practice in Lithuania in order to get better comprehension about existing conditions of process and how it could be possible to develop it by positive changes which could be done in Lithuania. The goal of this study is to analyze family mediation practice and possible development in Lithuania. This study analyses evaluation of family mediation in Europe and Lithuania, reglamentations by law and scientific literature of this field. This study tries to show which possible changes in different kind of levels could be done that family mediation would be more effective and reachable for lithuanian families. The data of this quality study was analyzed using content analysis. The sample consisted of seven respondents, who are mediators of family mediation. Data analysis showed that family mediation, as constructive conflicts solving method is necessary in families conflicts because of its nature. Respondents experiences revealed that there is lack of information about family mediation and not enough investment from goverment for this institute. There are some legislative gaps which makes development of family mediation in Lithuania problematically. |
