Abstract [eng] |
The master's thesis presents an analysis of the results of the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived and the possibilities for improving its use. The theoretical part of the work reveals the concept of poverty its measurement methods and causes also evaluation of European Union funded programs. A study combining quantitative and qualitative research methods was carried out in order to find out the results of the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived and the possibilities for improving its use. Secondary analysis of statistical data and meta-analysis of documents are presented, the results of which complement and help to summarize the study. The study revealed that the most valued form of support is food aid, followed by basic necessities and social inclusion measures. Countries with the highest levels of aid opt for food aid or use several forms of aid, among which food aid still remains. The study found that the main obstacles to change are poor communication between specialist working with the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived and beneficiaries; lack of knowledge about integration into society and the labor market; lack of research on beneficiary integration; waste of support; poorer access to social inclusion measures in rural areas. |
