Abstract [eng] |
This work analyzes the training of reserve officers in Lithuania. The object of this research is the military training of reserve officers in the JKVM in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania. The main goal of the work is to investigate the problems of training reserve officers in Lithuania. In order to achieve the goal, the following tasks were set: after analyzing the training practices of foreign reservists, formulate a research model that will be applied in the case of JKVM, review what essential elements define JKVM training, conduct several types of research surveys. In this work the main focus is the view that in order to properly train an officer in the JKVM system, is an effective concept of military training. So in this thesis the goal is to test these statements: the reserve officer training system JKVM has problem areas in training and personnel management processes; which provide the impulse to not fully function and achieve the planned goals; a certain standardized set of JKVM laws is needed to ensure the quality of this military training more effective. The problem of this study appeared due to the possible inefficient development of a JKVM program and greater integrity in the national defense system. The study reveals that effective preparation of JKVM can consist of three main components: a sufficient number of practical classes, provision of technical base and freer access to the territory of practical classes. A sufficient amount of practical exercises is emphasized for both officers and cadets, the aim is to gain guaranteed military qualification. Also noteworthy is the tendency of cadets to be specific, i.e. to have a different, broader mindset and a desire to link their future service to the civilian specialty. The study also showed that the recognition of JKVM cadets and the proper balancing of system time are important factors in maintaining proper soldier motivation while serving in the military. However, as can be seen from the survey data, there is little support from employers when cadets serve in the JKVM system. However, the motivation of the soldiers themselves is high, which is confirmed by the interviewed JKVM commanders and the questionnaires filled in by the cadets. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the case of Lithuanian JKVM is not exceptionally unique, there, as in the practices of other countries mentioned in the parts of the theory, we have similar cases of problems. Resolving these cases requires more attention to ensure the required level of effectiveness not only at the theoretical level (some separate JKVM standardized set of laws, other operational regulations) but also at the practical level (more focus on practical skills, wider communication). In this master's thesis, for the first time, the case of training of Lithuanian reserve officers was investigated by interviewing the heads of JKVM and the cadets themselves, how they evaluate the training of reserve officers. In this way, the study may be relevant to members of the military and the wider public who are interested in warfare. |
